Introduction
Robert Capa and Tony Vaccaro where photographers during world war 2 . Robert Capra worked for life magazine , his main mission was to take photos of hero's. He choose which battles he went to so he could take pictures the camera he used was the Leica.
Tony Vaccaro was a soldier he took pictures of death his photos were based on how dreadful war was as he was a soldier. He couldn't choose battles as he was a soldier , he also had to survive before he could take the pictures. The camera he used was the Argus C3 which was his own camera as the army's camera was useless as it took 3 to 4 Min's for it to take a picture.
Who did they work for?
Robert Capra worked for life magazine
Tony Vaccaro worked as soldier
How did this affect there work?
This affected their work because Robert had more freedom than tony as he worked for a magazine. Robert could choose which battles he went to ,whilst Tony was a soldier so he had a lot less freedom than Robert. he was a soldier so he had to go were the army wanted him to go not where he wanted to go . He also had to fight first then take photos after. Robert had more money then Tony so he could afford the leica. Which was the ultimate camera of that time. Whilst tony got given a camera which was useless as it took 3 to 4 minutes to take a capture. He took his own camera which was a Argus C3 however most of tony pictures where of dead Americans. for this reason most of his photos got deleted.
Where there photos true to war?
Robert and Tony's pictures were true to war but they took a different perspective of war . Whilst Robert was taking pictures of hero's and heroic moments tony was taking photos of the devastation . this is the reason why tony pictures where deleted as America didn't want to show dead Americans .

My Final Thought:
My thoughts on Tony Vaccara is that he took photos to show how bad and much destruction this particular war caused . Whilist Robert took pictures to show hero's and heroic moments.
